obama fresh.

"dog, obama is where its at" - flyyguyy

It seems to me that Barack Obama has brought a great stir into the presidential debate as of late, great! This isn't a blog about voting for Obama or even displaying his views. This blog is about how people are eating off of this man and not even sitting at the table. At first, I thought they were pretty cool, I cant lie. But it seems now, that each and every clothing company is manufacturing, producing and distributing Obama tees. In 2004, Puff created a juggernaut with the Vote or Die tees and now every company is following in his footsteps. Its just amazing to me how one man who some people don't even support are making his clothes and selling his campaign. And to the buyers of these tees I just want to know ask you are you a fashion icon or actually in faithful support of the Illinois Senator. Do you know his political standpoint or views on America, Iraq, health care and the middle class? I believe before you put on your favorite Obama tee, the least you can do is learn about him and his motives and not just to hop on the bandwagon.

NOTE: obama WILL be KING.

birth control & the young black female.

"man im jus praying for a period" - lovetrain

As a college student at a HBCU, there are many things yoiu can find yourself getting into that can't get yourself out of. For instance, I myself had to take a few accounting classes twice due to my inability to perform adequately in the classroom, but life goes on. In some peoples decision at any university sex, drugs and alcohol are the easiest escapes from the college stressors and pressures. But in high consumption of any of the three, may lead to ones addiction, injury or even death. But in sex, the worst case scenario, besides HIV, is pregnancy. I believe there is no way of getting around having sex in the college atmosphere. The whole, no-parenting-endless-freedom-too-much-free-time is just asking for someone to commit premarital intercourse. But what hurts me the most, is to see young black females with there head on straight and ready to rip the world into pieces get pregnant. It seems that the more you have sex with a person the more you feel comfortable with them, which may lead to not using a condom. Now, I know she can't help if a guy decides not to put on protection, but as a black female you must be ready for any and everything out here so I don't see why more black women are on birth control. If you are a young black woman and you KNOW you are sexually active why not get the shot, pill, patch, etc. There have been too many advancements in science to not want to protect yourself. I believe no one at this age is ready for a child financially, emotionally, physically and spiritually. I understand there are a few side effects like weight gain, mood swings and such but if I were a female i would be on birth control ASAP. Another weird factor is once getting preggo, females have to make the decision of to keep the child or abort it. No woman should be forced to make such a choice like that, so to avoid that all together, I suggest you (the female) to get on birth control. Everyone knows birth control can be a rough transition when first getting on it, but is it not worth it. I've seen too many go down the broken road of leaving there dreams or delaying them for a baby. In this day in time, the condoms seem to be getting thinner and the sex is becoming more demanding. Protect yourself and your future ladies, please. There is way too much at stake for you to be starting a family now.

SIDENOTE: Any female that has had a baby or is having a baby that is under 23 or having a child that is unexpected I praise you. You are stronger than you ever thought you were and you and your healthy baby is still here. This blog is not here to attack you, but to give light to the younger sisters of your generation to be aware and know whats going on. I am not trying to bash you or hate on you. I love you.

"if Gary Williams recruited in PG County, the Terps would have two rings" - anonymous

In recent years college basketball has been on the forefront of sports entertainment. From Florida's consecutive national championships to all four #1 seeds playing in the Final Four in this years past tourney, college basketball is at an all-time high. But if look far down off of 495, the Maryland Terrapins are suffering from another lack luster season. Even with Gist, Osby and Grieves the Terps still couldn't go dancing. I believe that in college basketball, the coaches should be accounted for coaching methods and recruitng methods. Which brings me to my subject of Gary Williams and his style. Over the past few years the metro area has seen some ridiculous talent fly through and above and out the area. This list includes freshmen phenom Michael Beasley from K St and last years freshmen sensation and this years NBA Rookie of the Year Kevin Durant, just to name a few. My question is why isn't Williams recruiting within his own territory. In the year, LSU shared a piece of the national championship in football, half the team was from Louisiana. I just don't see why Williams doesn't do the same. Through the years I can think back I can only recall ONE terp to get significant minutes and be from the area-Chris McCray. McCray came from Fairmont Heights and lit my alma mater (DuVal) up for 34 points in a playoff game in his senior season. McCray was part of the last decent and somewhat good Terp team with him, Caner-Medley, Gilchrist and such. But due to players leaving early, the team would go through a dry spell and die out to become mediocre in its present day. All I want is Williams to take a look at some of the hungry and raw talent that comes from these parts. I can not stand to see anymore talent from this area play in any other color than Terrapin Red.

Complete list..

F - Michael Beasley - DC - Kansas St.
F - Kevin Durant - PG - Texas
F - Jeff Green - PG - GTown
C - Roy Hibbert - Mo Co - GTown
G - Tywan Lawson - DC - UNC
G - Sam Young - PG - Pitt
G - Nolan Smith - PG - Duke

o well.

And by the way, I love my terps. They play hard and work hard. I appreciate any player to ever put on the Terrapin Red.

"and i sport fly shit, I should win an SB" - k.hill

thru all of my addictions one that has fastened my life and ran with me forever is my love for kicks. Over the past year or so, i have dove into a new underground-nike SBs. Shoes created for skateboarding purposes have now grown to be a sneaker gods' bible. With its vibrant colorways and patterns the shoes are ALL the same but different in its own way.

Here are some that are out or soon to be out this coming summer..

who is this guy?

I am twenty something black college student addicted to the wrong things in life-sneakers,sports,women&music. I was born and raised in Gorgeous Prince George's County in Maryland and currently receiving a BS degree in accounting from NC A&T SU. Most of my close friends call me funny, clever, rude and crazy, but through it all I am just me. I believe I am just a nerd trapped into a cool guy's frame [lol]. I feel like I am about to bring a very informal style to the world of blogging and show some real imagery too. I am currently a server as well as a full-time student so I will tell some of the true stories of serving guests in the south. And to note, I am not a big typer so expect to see short stories and few extended paragraphs and lots of grammatical errors. This is my first time blogging so please be patient with me.

the start.

Hey, my name is Terry Mundell and over the past year or so I have debated on whether I would want to start or blog or not. But due to supreme boredom I said what the hell. In this blog you will find everything to music reviews to sneaker reports to sports analysis to an occasional porn drop. And on a more serious note I will discuss some of my ideologies and theories on the black community and culture. No I am no doctor, nor philosopher, but I think I do have a voice so this is why I am creating this blog. Some of the things I may say here you may find offensive, inappropriate or down right ignorant, but before judging me listen to what I have to say and my reason behind it. i really hope you become an avid viewer of the blog and comment on everything.

Enjoy your stay and welcome to ignorant nipple!
