tomato, tomato.

"you gon miss me when Im gone" -hova.

She had such a distinct taste. We've all been enjoying her fresh taste since we were kids. Some say shes even a fruit. Some say shes a vegetable. To me shes everything. The other day I ordered a Chicken Tendercrisp from Burger King (imo-the best chicken sandwich in the world) and within the first bite I realized a difference. The chicken was done, the lettuce was fresh and the buns were buns. But aside form the obvious, my favorite fast food sandwich was missing the tomatoes. Never mentioned into the spotlight, never received great credit, but here today I am. The tomato might be the greatest the role player in sandwich history. Yes-everybody didn't love her and yes-the ones that did never really appreciated her. But this blog was made for her. I love you tomato and get well soon.

bros over hoes.

"man fuck that skut ass scavengin ass bitch" -lovetrain

Ladies its not your fault. We were raised like this. From the sandbox to now we, men, have always hung tough. It just in our genes. A common bond amongst us guys. You wonder why we fight so much at the club over nonsense, just cuz we got our mans back and that we will do anything for each other. No woman can come before a man and his boys. Its just a code thing. In the sandbox or at recess, we fought girls, played Freaky Fridays with them and hide and go get it. However, if you recall, we always did it with our boys. Its the small moments that we cherish together for lifetimes that come to men bonding with men. Its the sports as a youth that teach us teamwork and respect for one another. And see thats where the problem lies for most female friendships. As a youth, most ladies don't develop teamwork and respect for oneself to even respect each other. Alot of girls just learn to watch television and rant&rave around. And the term "bros over hoes" is funny, because the only reason why the term is "hoe" is because it rhymes. Its really no offense to the women but its just a word to classify them at once and rhymes with bros. Even though the bond is strong there are some men who have no backbone and let their "lady" run their lives, but thats just a small percentile. Ladies please don't try to jump over a man and his boys or you will just be dismissed. They are our brothers and you need to accept your position. You will get promoted in due time if you apply.

r&b is ALIVE.

In 2004 Usher released the critically acclaimed "Confessions" that went DIAMOND in sales, spawned world tours and spoke of his revelations in his personal life. Now in 2008, he stands to release his follow-up, "Here I Stand." But this blog isn't about Usher's grand achievements but the overlooked brothers in his own profession. In the past four years, some of the best male r&b material has been released and no one has said a word. We know hip hop is dead, alive and revived, but male r&b is growing. So many newcomers have came and dropped very solid debut albums including J Holiday's "Back of my Lac", Dream's ultra sexy "Love Hate" and the revival of a career in Jamie Foxx's "Unpredictable." Then there have been the once in a lifetime artist like John Legend who released "Get Lifted" in 2004 and came back and dropped an ego trippin switch in "Once Again." His mellow tone and lively figures leave bedrooms and backseats in awe when he plays. Another artist who has given the public two doses in this span is the metro's own Raheem DeVaughn. "The Love Experience" premiered in 200, but was an underground classic because it wasn't marketed well. However, due to the growing popularity of "Love Behind the Melody" new fans are referring back to the classic RDV. Also, one man has been the heart and go to guy of this writing thing for a while and thats Ne-Yo. Including his own albums, Ne Yo has generated nothing but fire from under his pen and pad. His detailed lyrics and steady beats keep the night afloat and I can't wait for the "Year of the Gentlemen." The most consistent artist of the r&b crooners is Musiq Soulchild. After taking his own four year hiatus, "luvanmusiq" was released and was a quiet storm at first. Later it would rise to gold in sales and recieve a Grammy. But the biggest surprise had to be Puff's reality tv experiment in Making the Band. Later to be named Day26 (which no one still doesn't know what that means) they would grow up right before out eyes in three seasons of hardships under Puff's guidance. When the self-titled album dropped in 2008, alot of people were skeptical and weren't trying to fall under the reality hype. However, I can honestly say this IS the best male r&b group CD i've heard since the Dru Hill days. Take my word for it. But even through all this success, there were failures and setbacks. Tank is still a one hit wonder, Tyrese left to do movies and TPain still has his technology and rap chorus hooks. But what I am trying to get you to understand is that r&b isn't just a one man band, but more like a dream team. I suggest if you haven't copped or heard any of these albums, I say you burn them, purchase them, do what you do.

NOTE: Only sex, love and baby making can be made to these CDs-no fucking! enjoy!

East Coast v West Coast.

Three reasons why the Lakers WILL win the NBA Finals.

1. Bench play
A hungry, deep bench that consists of speed (Farmar), shooting (Radmonovic & Vujacic) and hustle (Turiaf) this is no B-team!

2. Lamar Odom
The quick and Mr Do it All big man was the key difference to the Spurs demise. I expect nothing but the same against the Celtics.

3. KOBE.
nuff said.

Three reasons why the Celtics WILL win the NBA Finals.

1. Defense
With the quickness and speed of Rondo at the point and Garnett lurking in the back ground, the C's defense is very stingy when it comes to scoring.

2. Home court advantage
The possibility that they can win the championship without winning another road game and the fact that they lost only one home game is remarkable.

3. Kevin Garnett
13 hard, long seasons later. This is what he has been waiting for.
