We are thirty three days away from the presentation of medals for men's basketball at the Beijing Olympics. There you will find Team USA. Headed by Kobe Bryant and LeBron James, this somewhat undersized team will be accepting there gold medals and singing the national anthem. Most will be hiding tears and all will be overjoyed in this feat. Considering that the USA hasn't won a world tournament since 2000. But you know all the facts, you know all the players and know the feats they will face. There is no need for me to breakdown the thoughts lingering in peoples minds about this team. Yes, we should have added more size and yes, we might be smaller than anyone else. But without a doubt, this is the most talented and athletic team ever assembled. The question is how much and by how many. This team will win, but may get hit with a few small speed bumps. But in the end, there will be tears of joy and a bunch of "I tol you so's."

You can talk to her for hours. You miss her as soon as she leaves. And when the grown up is done, the grown up is DONE. The infatuation phase might be the best phase in the converting friends into lovers. To me the phase is very blinding though. At this part of the relationship, even though its not a certified nor exclusive, all you notice is the good things. The bad things seem to be irrelevant due to us being young, black and alone we seem to cling to one another. Even though they may smack when they eat or be a constant phone checker, these slight things are nothing in the infatuation phase. The lust is deep and the love looks to be real, but is it a figment of our imagination or isn't it? That is the question we must ask when any of us falls head over heels for a new fling. Is this a summer fling that will grow into winter love just to be split into a spring break? Love has many tricks and turns, but one thing for certain is that the new found infatuation in meeting a new being will be there. Its always good to think optimistic, but then there are times were you need to be pessimistic. Black love is beautiful, but sometimes can be blinded to be black lust if the sex is overwhelming and the physical attraction is fatal. Listen to your mind, but trust your heart ladies and gentlemen. The infatuation phase is a motherfucker.
