the prince that shall be KING.

"He is a crybaby" - hater.

You know his name. You know is face. You know his numbers. But did you know ever since the ripe age of 14, LeBron James has had a camera in his face and a microphone near his mouth? Just a few hours ago, James' season came to a thrilling end as the Cavaliers lost to the Celtics. He gave quite a heroic performance with 45 points, five rebounds and six assists. However, this blog isn't about his shortcomings or his progressed play over the past five seasons in the NBA. LeBron has been living with the pressures to be perfect for forever it seems. Now after this loss, every newspaper column you read and every analyst you will see tomorrow will say LeBron isn't clutch or LeBron can't get it done. They will say LeBron can't shoot a midrange jumper and that he doesn't have enough killer instinct. But all I want to ask those naysayers is this - "Could you do it?" The young prodigy has been living with a monkey on his back since grade school. Trying to be perfect, trying to please everyone and be liked by all. But the one thing James has to get over before reaching the mountain top is to say "Fuck the media, I'm going to do me." To me it seems the endorsements and being the face of the NBA holds him back from doing his natural motives. In the opening round series with the Washington Wizards, LeBron was caught in a fueling grudge match with some Wizards guard. Throughout the series, words and blows would be exchanged, eventually leading to LeBron getting the last laugh by advancing to the next round. However, I believe LeBron lost the mental battle and let the Wizards get into his head. LeBron played like shit the following two games, but ultimately woke up too late. I understand him and Stern have a business relationship and that he has over $100 million in endorsements, but it comes a time where a man has to be a man. Magic won without Kareem, Jordan took down the Pistons and Kobe left Shaq. Now I am asking LeBron to bitchslap the media, the endorsements and even the NBA if possible. There is a killer that lives within James and the world is holding him back from displaying it. At times through the playoffs I saw glimpses of the killer and that no one could touch him but himself. In the 2008-2009 season, expect to see a new James. He will have a gold medal from the Olympics around his neck and know the feeling of being part of a championship team. Which should result in him trying even harder to reach that legendary status amongst the greats. In conclusion, the microscope and magnifying glass can be on him for only so long before he reacts back. Only in due time, we will ALL be witnesses.

NOTE: LBJ doesn't NEED a jumper. I think if he adds a significant floater and better pump fake his points will increase and field goal percentage rise.
